Mhmmm. [ Is his only audible response, because the rest of his reply is in how he appreciates her pillowness and her humming and her warmth and how she's letting him stay here. He's not even considering that he's been still, just here, more than he probably ever has been, especially while drunk, so it's sort of an achievement of some kind. Probably. But he sort of wants to nap. And she's comfortable. ]

Her smile just grows at that response, at the way that he just stays here. He's still so rarely when they aren't both very asleep, and most of the time the reasons aren't good. She likes that he can be still with her, that he likes staying here. His question takes her off guard, tilting her head at him. ]

Do you mean right now or here in general, with you? [ A small beat. ] Though the answer is yes either way, so I guess it doesn't really matter which one.

He's not really thinking about the question when he asks it, and he's sort of surprised to get an answer. He was looking more for the answer to the latter than the former, the long term over the immediate, although he would have taken both, and it seems like both he has received. He nods a little bit, which isn't really an answer, but his words happen to clarify a bit. ] All in all. Not just now, but now included. But that's good. Good answer. I like it here. More. With you. And your pillowness.

She's still smiling, softer now because that's an answer that she also likes. She's not really sure where the warmth she feels right now is coming from precisely, but she knows that she likes it and that it's a result of him saying he likes it here with her. ] Then I figure we've pretty much got it made, if we both like it more with each other.

It probably comes from his big head of hot air resting on her stomach like that tbh. ] I feeeeeeeel like that was obvious. Lots of things are though, and people say them anyway. You should do some more humming.

You'd think the warmth would be around his head, then, but it's higher in her chest. It's a nice feeling, though, she quite likes it. ] Lots of things are only obvious when you say them, too. Yeah? [ Glancing down to watch him for a moment, and then she leans back on the armrest and starts humming again, some random song she's picked up out of the air, smiling with her eyes closed. ]

This thread is also probably going to end with them falling asleep here. I mean, that's where it looks like it's going to me, unless she decides that maybe he shouldn't sleep sitting up in front of the thing she's sleeping on, because right now he has no such qualms about doing just that. ]

[ It is totally going to end with them both sleeping here and waking up with massive cricks in their necks, except, yeah, she has enough foresight here to know that's where things are going. ]

You want to move this to a bed? You'll sleep a little better.

[ He just makes a sound. Tries to turn and burrow into her stomach, which... doesn't work. He blinks sleepily at her. ] We have to, don't we, that's you saying 'it's time to move to a bed now tony', isn't it.

[ She makes a soothing noise but lifts her hand from his hair, runs it along his cheek instead. ] I'll help you get there, okay? And then we'll go to sleep.

[ Nnnnnnnnnnnn. ] We can sleep right here, we were almost sleeping, it was great. Now we're awake and it's less great. Which bed are we going to? [ Nevermind that he just switched from 'no let's not' to 'okay we can' without stopping. ]

You'd wake up with a sore neck, this'll be better, I promise. [ Still brushing at his cheek as she starts to sit up a little, trying not to dislodge him but indicate that it's time to stand up, okay. ] Whichever one's closest. So mine, I think.

I'm going to wake up with a ridiculous headache anyway, I don't see what that matters. [ But it's grumbling, while he finally straightens so she can sit up, even if he's barely even making pathetic attempts to stand just yet. ]

If I make you drink enough water it might not be too bad. [ She slides out of the chair and circles around to stand in front of him, holding her hands out to help pull him to his feet. ] If you do you can go back to sleep for a while, too.

[ Yeah, he'll take her hands and hoist himself up, but he's going to keep complaining. Also he's probably not going to let go of her after he's standing, because the room is moving and she feels more steady than he does. ] Wait now I have to drink a bunch of water before I can lay back down? You can't change - you can't change the stipulations after an agreement is made.

[ It's ok, she's taken his weight before and she can do it again. It's not really a problem, and frankly it's still kind of amusing. Really amusing, and she starts to help him towards the door towards the bedrooms. ] No, you can lie down and then if you're still awake I'll get you water if you want. Not changing any stipulations, babe, promise.

[ It's good that she finds all of this so amusing. He's fairly stumbly at first, but he's got lots of practice, actually, walking in states like this, so it's not too bad once he gets used to moving again. Doesn't mean he isn't leaning on her though. ] Okay, as long as you're not changing anything. You smell nice.

[ Yeah, probably. But she happens to like him a lot, and as such she tends to not find him very irritating at all. ] Thank you, I like my shampoo too. Not changing a thing, you've just got to go a little bit further.

I'm still walking. [ He thinks. He's pretty sure. ] Are we there yet? Can I let my knees give out - I'd like to get off the ride now.

You are still walking, but hey, look, here's a bed. [ Helping manuever him gently backwards onto it. ] No more walking necessary.

[ He abruptly decides to fuck the 'gently backwards' part and half twists to just flop onto the bed about halfway through sitting down. Hopefully she doesn't land on him, but he doesn't actually wait until she's let go of him to do this. With his face in a pillow: ] Still moving. Things are still moving. Max make everything stop moving. Make the mole- Get some teeny tiny tweezers and grab the molecules and stop them all from moving.

[ She stumbles a little and winds up sitting on the bed. At least she didn't fall on top of him, but she's still rolling her eyes as she starts running her hand through his hair again, making shhhing noises. ] Just lie still, okay, they'll stop moving soon and then you can drink some water and go to sleep.

They'd better not stop moving. [ But that's a different kind of not moving. That's the entropy and physics and atomic kind of moving he wants to continue, because he doesn't want everything to just blip out of existence. The part where the room sort of feels like a slow-moving marble labyrinth game, that can stop anytime it feels like it.

But he does settle down again pretty quickly, with the hand and the shushing. ] Okay sounds good what a great plan.

They're going to stop moving. [ Because whatever it is that he means by that, she's mostly just interested in his head not spinning completely crazy. She waits until he's pretty thoroughly settled down to stop petting his hair, but keeps talking as she moves to get him a glass of water. ]

I'm really good at planning, yeah. Don't worry about it, I've got things under control.
