[ It's okay he doesn't really care that it hurts right now either - it's far from the worst sensation he's got going on right now either way. He appreciates the idea of it, likes the contact even if it doesn't really help things physically, because it doesn't need to help things physically, that's not the point of it. But as she does move, he lets go of her, lets his hands drop back into his lap, forces himself to watch as she leaves and is grateful she doesn't look back, because that would have likely meant that suddenly neither of them were okay with the process again. This is the best idea, here. This is what makes sense, even if it defies all instincts in the process.
